I like to wait to start procrastinating...

I haven't written in such a long time... mostly because I have so much other stuff going on in my life right now -- I've officially been living on my own for over a month (9 days short of two), been going to school since August 22, and am working as much as I can to keep my life in a good, balanced state of health, happiness and productivity.

Right now, haha... I'm putting off writing a paper that's due on Thursday, because I'm on a break from school and am up visiting family near Chicago. :)

I've been composing some new music lately (whee!!), which makes me very excited, since it's sometimes hard to find the time to write... even harder to find the inspiration, most days. I joined a dance company, and will be in three dances during our big performance at the beginning of December, which I'm super excited about! Since I'm also in choir, it's tough to keep my schedule straight some days, but somehow I am managing and haven't gone entirely crazy. ... yet.

Oh, well. I suppose I should go work on that paper, or eat, or something.

Ciao for now! :)

Being a Writer

Within the last few years, it has come to my own attention that, first and foremost, I am a writer.

As much as I love creating music to share with people, and as much as I enjoy sharing said music with the aforementioned masses, it is even more important to me that the words bound to the music make sense and resonate with people. So, whether I continue in music or not, I will always and forever continue writing; why? Because it's what I am.

At this point, I don't really have much else to say. Just wanted to come dash off a quick post and get that out there :)

So? What else is there to do now, but check it out! Followwwww the link! :)

Aha!

I have recently re-discovered my love for physical activity. So much so, that it seems to be rather an addiction. :D

For the month of July (and continuing on from thence), I have made it my goal to find one physical outlet/workout every single day. Mostly it consists of biking places to run errands (which certainly helps cut down on fuel costs! -- lovely!), swimming laps in the pool at the apartment complex where I live, or going out for a half hour run before breakfast.

Since Thursday, I have added dancing! into the mix, which holds both great promise and great fun, though it's definitely a little more on the costly side of things, since there are lesson fees and cover charges, and all that jazz. But overall, with the health benefits plus my general love for dancing, it's completely and totally worth it.

So! It is in this spirit that I pursue both physical and emotional rebalance, and I'm realizing more and more just how important it is to focus not on how my body looks (something with which I have struggled in the past), and instead to focus on how my body feels as I am more and more driven to be healthy and happy, and live a good lifestyle.

And let me tell you, I've been feeling pretty darn great! :)
